Good luck! We are just two months into our trip. Loving it.

Well, here we are, 2 small trips down and looking forward to our next one.
Our first journey to Hervey Bay started off bad when the park we were booked into called and cancelled our booking one day before we were to arrive. Something about covid or something stupid like that. Well after a lot of scrambling we managed to get accommodation in a park not far from the water. Not the greatest but adequate.
Had a fantastic time exploring the area and nearby locations. Watching the whales was another highlight.
Our second trip started at Dicky Beach at Caloundra, wow what a place. Our site had unimpeded views of the beach and ocean and we had a great time. But then we travelled to Kilkivan Family Bush Camp to have 3 days with our family who were camping there for a week. Hmmmm very dry, dusty and with very little to do. Decided that we need to pick places in interesting area which we can explore.
Next on our list is Cotton Tree Park at Maroochydore. Looking forward to some great times having fun in the sun.

Well it's been some time since I wrote about our journeys so here a quick update.
We think we might have ironed out the major wrinkles in our caravanning life, but I'm sure not all of them. We've been to Noosa, Caloundra and Hervey Bay (close to home incase of disasters) to get things sorted and I just love the lifestyle.
Then we went to Stanthorpe during the Apple and Grape Festival, I must say that we loved Stanthorpe and it was awesome to experience the good old fashioned country parade down main street. Of cause there were several wineries visited and a big shout out to Castle Glen, Heritage and especially Ballandean and a special mention to the SLAPS café in the main street of Stanthorpe (yummy).
I must say that we are a little bit underwhelmed with the whole 'Happy Hour' every arvo thing people have been telling us about, mainly because it's just been some pleasant hellos and that's about it, no come on over and bring a glass or see you a 5. Maybe we are yet to find the right crowd. 
Anyway, the van went really well and it tows like a box trailer (easy) and the set up and pull down is now easy and quick so I suppose it's time to think of a longer journey and that might just be out to Winton next winter (this winter we're going overseas again) and if I can talk the bride into it we might continue on further.
