Had my second AZ covid jab

Had my second AstraZenica covid inoculation three days past and I'm still alive :)

The government has also sent me a nice PDF certificate to prove I am fully inoculated against covid.

If you're concerned about side effects from the AZ jab then may I suggest you do not stand outside for any length of time as your chances of being struck by lightning are greater.

And, keep in mind, at our age covid may well kill us.

I had my second AstraZenica covid inoculation, just over a fortnight ago

I have not received a PDF certificate, but I can see on the MyGov vaccination page, that I have had both vaccines

Perhaps things are different, over here in the west

Or perhaps they do not know my email address?

Well, you people in the wild west are always playing catch up with the time mate so maybe the Government over there haven't heard about it yet. Give 'em time mate.

I have my second 'jab' mid August.

Keep Safe over there in the wild west.

Early August for the 2nd jab. Hopefully if there are enough people sensible enough to get their vaccinations, we may see the end of all of this and we can get back to some serious travelling instead of tinkering around the edges.

I have had none and feel really well. You will probably be able to have several more if you like when it is phased out in October as there will be supply outstripping demand. Are you trying to convince us wary people or quell each other's nervousness. I think I will wait and if it proves harmless will have what motor mouth had instead of the version he palmed off on the masses.

My wife and I both had our second AZ shot last Wednesday. Our son, living in the UK, has had both his (AZ) and our other son here in Aust. got his second Pfizer shot today. Our daughter is 26 weeks pregnant and is waiting untill the baby is born. We are relieved that our family is as safe as possible from this virus and hope that everyone will do likewise so we can all get back to some form of normality.

Yep, after my first I get a little "buzz" in the back of the neck if I drive past a mobile tower. Love the feeling, excites me. :)

We both got our second shot of AZ last Wednesday.

I had the same after effects as after the first  ..  A bit tired so an early night in bed.  Woke up a few times with a sore neck (nothing new for me) and a bad headache near the top of the spine.  Arthritis like pain in most joints, but I get a lot of that.  All OK by mid day & 100% since.

Same Dmaxer. I had a big blow up with my Dr., he recommended the Pfizer , due to my extremely low blood pressure, as he had done to his other patients but he had to tell the govt., why he recommended 26 of his patients to not get the AZ, then he was told to tell us to get the AZ. I said I won't without a letter from him or the govt., that says it will be safe for me to have the AZ. This he wouldn't do, so hence the argument. I then rang the primeministers office the next day ( did not get thru, but got some secretary), they just hang up on me after I asked for the same letter, so now I definitely, will not get the AZ, without that letter.

One thing that COVID-19 has done is to illuminate just how many selfish and stupid people there are in our society. I will have my second AZ jab in August. I agree that Morrison should have taken an AZ dose, if he really cared.

I wonder how much more evidence you seek?

Covid inoculation stats.

----

24% of the world population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

3.19 billion doses have been administered globally, and 37.27 million are now administered each day.

Maybe I am just naturally suspicious Mike. I do not have any problem with others having the AZ vaccine if that is their wish. What concerns me is that the boofheads only acquired one vaccine in large doses and then foisted that one on the general public whilst using a different one themselves. I have had all my other vaccines throughout my life including ones in later years for travel to suspect places in the world and had no concerns in doing so. All the tub thumping and insults from the AZ fan club has little effect on me as if it is as good and as harmless as they seem to think, then the presence of a presently unvaccinated person such as myself should have no adverse effect on their health as they are "safe".

My second is on the 12th July (AZ) and I am fully supportive of vaccination whichever you choose, the only way we can control this virus.

I have to smile. The govt. is saying basically that by opening up the AZ vaccine to young people, Australians now have choice of vaccine. So stop winging and get vaccinated.

What about those over 60. Who by the way, were the concerned ones in the first place.

Not because of the AZ vaccine itself but because of the perceived discrimination and ageism against the older population. That hasn't changed. and they wonder why the tin hat brigade comes out in force. lol.

Hey Bicyclecamper, I would hang up on you too. No doubt "the (so called) secretary at the PM's office" thought to herself - I have another Tin Foil Hat" on the phone and decided to get rid of you. Did you & DMaxer go to the same conspiracy classes at school?

I don't really understand why those that have decided to have the AZ vaccination feel the need to lecture the rest of society about their hesitance. People who decide to wait have a perfect right to decide what medication they will receive. I remember when I was a lot younger I had a classmate who was badly disabled. He was one of about ten thousand whose mother had been assured by their knowledgeable GP that Thalidomide was perfectly safe to be taken during pregnancy. A few years later we had the baby formulae issue that was also perfectly safe to be taken. Remind me again what the outcomes were with those two, please.

My aged mother is in care on the north coast and I was talking to one of the carers a few days ago who informed me that the majority of the care staff would be resigning if forced to accept the vaccination. These staff are all under forty years of age and it seems it is their collective view that they are not going to jeopardise the rest of their lives on a vaccination that is so great, it has been rejected by a number of countries and being phased out in this country in October. The other workers who will also vote with their feet will be the homecare people. I think what will happen is that motor mouth will be instructed by his corporate masters that the aged care system will be ruined and his "compulsory" will be replaced with a "highly encouraged".

Perhaps one of you highly qualified spruikers of this vaccine can inform a simple person like myself as to why the European Union has stipulated the only four vaccines that would allow entry to Europe included AZ, but only the AZ that was manufactured in Britain and not anywhere else in the world, even though it was supposedly manufactured using the same recipe. I wonder what the immigration official's response in those countries would be when you said " I had my jab last week and I feel fine".

Anyway, I am not a doctor nor a vaccine expert so I choose to wait and see. I don't think there is any conspiracy Knightrider but I don't blindly follow what some politician who chose to take the alternative to what he was supposed to take, tells me either.

That makes sense to me.   Why are the AZ fan club so strident?   They never offer any firm reasons or facts, just disparage those who differ in their views and are very willing to hurl insults and name call at every opportunity.

I'm happy to live and let live.   Its none of my business what others do or believe.

Or maybe, just maybe, and I strongly suggest this strident fan club is just out for a fight, to wit just ignore and don't bite.
