Lights in the sky?

Yesterday evening, Thursday 13th May 2021 at about 8.00pm I was
sitting by my campfire beside Baillieu Lagoon approximately 25km
north west of Echuca, Victoria.

It was the night of a new moon and therefore dark, it had been a
cloudy day but by 8pm the cloud had half cleared and some stars were
visible.

As I gazed into the south east sky I became aware of moving lights
about 25 degrees above the horizon. I moved away from the fire and
looked more closely at the lights; my first thought was they were a
small flock (about ten) of very large white birds circling and being
illuminated by the moon, until I remembered it was a new moon,
nevertheless that was what their appearance suggested to me.

I cannot estimate their distance, because I have no measure of their
size, except I am confident they were more than 1km distant. No sound
was associated with them.

The shapes of the "blobs" of light were very roughly oval with the
long side parallel to the ground. They moved in a seemingly random
pattern but did not stray far from one-another. Their speed of
movement was about twice as fast as large birds riding thermals.
Their colour was simply that of white light ie, no colours.

I watched for about four minutes, the blobs were in constant motion
with some fading and subsequently reappearing. Between the three to
four minute point the number of blobs gradually reduced until all had
gone and that was that.

I have no idea what they were but do not think it was aurora or
electrical storm activity. What I can say is that after hundreds
(thousands?) of nights camped in deep bush I have not seen anything
like it before.

Sounds like you have seen Min Min lights....although I thought they were more a northern NSW/QLD thing.

Dont panic - you are not losing the plot biggrin There was much talk on the radio about them recently. Apparently they are Elon Musk's group of satellites. One guy described them as like a lit-up bus light. https://news.yahoo.com/elon-musks-spacex-launches-keep-212333692.html

I don't think they orbit over Australia yet and I doubt one would go backwards and forwards.

Ok Mike at the risk of being called crazy I will tell you what I have seen back in the early 1980's when I was a long distance truck driver.

I was stopped for a sleep between Cloncurry and Normanton, I was driving two up so another driver was with me. Looking at the night sky we saw lights in the distance, over the gulf maybe.

These lights were moving at incredible speed back and forth and down below the horizon. From memory I think there were only three but each was a different colour. Green, blue red. They would travel sideways for a distance at stop instantly and then move again in a different direction.

Never found out what they were but there was nothing on earth at that time that could do this. Laser lights not invented yet.

Another time at night I was driving by myself between Muttaburra and Hughenden, the road back then was two wheel tracks through the grass and I saw a red light off to my right side travelling parrallel to me. At first I thought it was a plane but realised after a while it was not flashing and not moving away. This red light stayed with me at the same distance from me for a good half hour and then just disapeared. It put the wind up me at the time I can tell you.

These things convinced me that we are not alone in this universe, I do not care if anyone calls me crazy, I know what I saw

Coming into Picton one night, very late, we had been tutoring Uni students, just past the cement works and the whole area turned into daylight, could see the hills towards Campbelltown. No sound, stayed bright for about 30 seconds. The area around there is an area that the UFO searchers frequent.

Theres a lot out there that we dont know about and arent informed about.

I think the person saw them in the southern sky from Hobart.

I was told in 2012, what I saw was swamp gas( it was at about 90,000 feet high), was the thing I saw, in the sky, it was at 10.30 pm on the 23 Dec, and it was a bright flash, at about 1 on the clock dial in the sky, then saw, a light moving from west to east, it travelled reasonably fast, when it got to the 11 position on the clock, it stopped dead, and moved at a right angle, and went due south. The initial light I saw, was a ultra bright flash, as if it had come out of a wormhole ( or maybe hyperdrive), and I am not joking when I reported it to the RAAF , they told me it was swamp gas. Then only last year I had a large mass ( ?? ship) fly over my out of town farm at 9.30 pm at approx. 500 feet up, low hum, about 300 foot in size, same thing, I was told it was swamp gas. They bloodywell know what these things are, but don't want to admit to it.

If you like to listen to a brilliant account of various sightings there is a podcast called 1001 Heroes, Legends, Mysteries and Histories. As well as the well known sightings like Roswell and Rendelsham Forest, have a listen to the interviews with the former astronauts from Apollo and Gemini missions. Several of the astronauts give accounts of what they saw and reported regarding UFO activity. Perhaps the most controversial account was from Apollo 11 and the sightings on the moon and the two minute silence NASA imposed that was detected by the ham radio operators.

Really good stuff. Who knows what it might have been that you saw Mike, but I have no doubt that we are not alone.

Thanks Dmaxer; I'm not a "UFO nut" by a long shot although I think it would a mathematically illiterate person who considered we were alone in this universe - however distance and the light speed barrier do present a problem in saying "Hi" to the little green men :)

I have downloaded the two episodes you mentioned and will listen but I am a very analytical individual and expect hard facts or well supported supposition :)

There where about 20 people around him ,they told him if he would talk to anyone about this he would go to a mental asylum ,he was only 6 years old ,he said that it was silver metallic in appearance .He was not the guy who would tell you some silly stories ,cheers

I think the telling point in the more believable sightings is the effort put in by both the military and the government sources in ensuring that the observers and the general public believe that they must have been mistaken or it was a weather balloon. The ranch manager that discovered the wreckage after the alleged Roswell crash spent five days in isolation at the air force base until he was convinced he had found a weather balloon. Funnily enough, the air force base was the same base where the Manhattan Project was developed. If you have a listen to the podcast that I spoke of earlier, the astronauts also had extensive counselling in relation to what they were permitted to discuss.

In relation to "hard facts" Mike, I doubt if former astronauts are in the fantasy or tin foil hat brigade.

I'll put my money on a laser light show at various locations along the Murray River around Echuca area.

The Aliens are at GreenS Lake, Nth Central VIC. I've seen them there. Their space ship was under the water in the middle of the lake.

You might be right Doug, but then... who knows.

This is a subject that has fascinated me for years. I know a former international pilot who would tell me stories of the things he had seen when first a pilot in the air force and then later as a commercial pilot. He told me of objects that appear from nowhere and then hover next to him and then disappear at speed unmatchable by any of our planes.

One article I was reading recently was from a person called Haim Eshed. He was the former chief of the Israeli Defence and the head of the Israeli space program for almost thirty years. He claims that the US government have not only encountered aliens but have also formed an agreement with them. It is his view that this is not released to the general public as it may cause total public chaos and fear.

I can understand that there are crackpots out in the world but it seems pretty obvious something is happening when astronauts, astro physicists and people like Haim Eshid make these claims. Surprisingly, Barack Obama sought advice from NASA and defence regarding this topic and then refused to disclose the answer he received. His statement when asked was "I can neither confirm nor deny". Strange comment if the answer he had received was in the negative.

If you notice all these videos are grey and blurry with a black blob, this was taken in 2019.they have highly sophisticated high speed colour cameras and they dish up this

I think they they like confusion.

I think there are frauds about in most things Plain Truth. However, because some may be fraudulent does not mean all are. I think I would be more wary about movies or photos that were shot in perfect light and focus. I don't wish to impose my beliefs on anyone. If you think that with the vastness of our universe we are the only ones and every reported sighting and incident can be explained then who am I to argue.

No, no Dmaxer - when they come to spy on me they shape shift into kangaroos and lurk around my camp. I know this because the real kangaroos leave notes telling me.

Hey Mike. One thing l've seen alot of in the area expecially this time of the year is the reflection of tractor lights at night. The broad acre farms around you, outside the forest are prob seeding now at night. It is amazing how the high powered lights reflect off the clouds. Just a thought.

Absolutely!

About six weeks past I was camped near Tungamah, Vic and was up and about one morning at 4.30am and could not figure out what this wide blue light going back and forth about 1km from me was. Finally as daylight approached and through the binoculars I worked out it was a tractor. Why they use blue light I do not know?
