CARAVAN INSURANCE.

I am trying to obtain a quote for caravan insurance, online.

Every site i try says that they can not offer cover because of the value of the caravan. ($95k)

What is the point of offering an online quoting service, then putting a ceiling on the value?

What insurance company are people using for a caravan?

I had a call back from C.I.L

On a $95k caravan with $300 excess, it runs out to $35 per week, or $1800 P/A.

That figure reduces to around $1600 with a $1000 excess.

Full details to be emailed to me.

We have NRMA/RACV (AIG Insurance) not cheap, but not aware of any value limit - Many caravans cost well over $150K - is it the value? or "Brand" that they won't insure for $95K?

 Same with us,

.We have had a few claims, biggest one was a complete new awning.

Never had an issue with QBE.

We have all our insurance policies with QBE

I rang QBE, strange answers but this is what they say.

They can only insure caravans up to $80k in value, as mine is $94 they will not cover it!

Neither can they offer me insurance on an Iveco Daily E6 van!

No discusion, insurance declined.

EDIT*

I also rang Elders, same result as they are underwrittters for QBE
