Greetings to anyone who has an older Jayco Journey and can help with this issue. Just got this second hand caravan and am getting ready for a first trip. Tanks won't accept water through the 50mm white plastic fillers. There's clearly a lot of air pressure generated when I try to fill, even with sink tap open inside the van. I can't see any breathers on the tanks, and have checked the filler lines for obstructions. What am I missing?
Welcome to GN's Roger, I used to have a Jayco Journey (great van) until 2013. The water tank was always having air blockages when filling - I adapted/fitted a 30cm piece of 12mm clear plastic food grade tube to click connector to fit on end of water hose - just push the tube down the throat into filler which allows air to escape past the outside of tube thus eliminating air blockage. I still use this methodology in current van. Less than $10 fix of annoying problem.

Imperative not to pressurise the tanks because you will break supports and or lift the floor above
Even 1psi (2 foot water column) in a large flat tank can provide a tonne or more bursting force.
I presume previous owner fělled tanks ßo onč check with owner or jaýco ßervice. Failing that check where water tube goes into tanks should be easy to follow. i have starcraft. The connects from inside van wiill most likely be back of cupboard even put some colouring used in icing to checlk which line goes to which tank. I havE 3 waterpoints centre one has hose connection for town water, one connection each side is to put hose into to fill tank, can get a rubber type adapter to fit over connection on van and then mae up coonection to go onto hose . Go to bunnings , i buy there or an
irrigation outlet. Good liuck

Important note; Jayco use "one and a quarter inch American" threaded fitting on their water inlet NOT BSP threaded
