It is a black plastic arm with cutouts, one end has a circular hole which locates to a pin (I presume) in the cassette housing roof area and the other end has a enclosed slot which engages with the orange coloured flap which covers the aperture where the slide handle is.

Cheers, Neil.
Your timing not good, as soon as the rain abates I will go and have a bow peep.
I have had some experience with the cassette falling apart and rebuilding that section.
I have found in the past that Mr Google can point to some interesting/helpful U-Tube videos regarding toilet operation and cassettes - try asking open questions without being specific, such as "How does cassette toilet work?" www.bing.com/videos/search

Thank you Dorian,
Parts 64 and 70 on the exploded view are not described but they are shown in relation to the housing but fairly difficult to see where they go.
Thank you so much Jeepnudger, a very simple solution and why did I not think of it myself?
Their technical department, right on the ball, said that the pin securing the end of the lever with the round hole to the cassette housing is spring loaded and can be pushed back to allow the lever to be installed.
Too easy when explained by a very helpful tech.

Many thanks to all who have replied to this query. the answer is simple like all when you have the knowledge.
The answer is in my reply to Jeepnudger.
The round end of the lever with the axel in it sits in a moon shaped cup in the upper slide section, you have to push the lever up and forward a little to
disengage it from this cup then join up the orange flap to the slotted end of the lever and relocate the round end in the cup.
Thanks again, Neil Creswell.

Hi Neil I also need to replace the lever but can't work out how to remove the old one! Is it possible to compress the spring loaded retaining pin with the old lever in place? Dometic in the UK have not responded! Thanks, Bob
Bob, welcome to GN's.
You have responded to an older post (March 2021).
I copied and advise my previous post in this thread ; "I have found in the past that Mr Google can point to some interesting/helpful U-Tube videos regarding toilet operation and cassettes - try asking open questions without being specific, such as "How does cassette toilet work?" www.bing.com/videos/search "
I have found that Thetford are not very helpful with queries - I think they wish that their dealers attend to any necessary repairs. Although I have found that ordering parts on-line from UK the goods arrived in less than quoted two weeks. But, parts come without fitting directions or helpful pictorial advice. Again Mr Google is your friend.

Thanks Possum - I appreciate this is an old thread but its the only useful link that Mssrs Google, Webcrawler and Bing can offer! Nothing on YouTube I can find either. I am off to the UK Motorhome show next weekend where I shall buttonhole the rep on the Dometic trade stand and see what advice (if any) they can offer...
Hi,
I know this is a old post, but Im facing exact same problem? I just cant figure how to remove the lever flap.
On my CTS 3110 it broke in two pieces.
Can anyone of you please help?
Google isnt my friend this time
