My sister, was christened Margaret Ann. Our surname starts with "D", and after the vent, the preacher man said tat they had done her a disfavour because her initials were MAD. The name was particularly apt as she grew up and the irony of it all was that she married a guy with the surname starting with "D"... So it was still singularly appropriate.
