There is a 'special' section in "Techies Corner' just for 'Weights and Measures' (It's only new) so check that out and ask any questions there as it keeps it all in one place for future reference for us oldies and any newbies. Just be well strapped in and even then hold on tight as there is a couple that take over and like the last say. Just say'n.

Apart from all that, this is a great forum with mostly very friendly people and just a couple well, maybe, a little argumentative.

As with the Techies section check out all other areas and post any questions or add your bit in the appropriate area/s, that way it keeps it all in the right place. Webmaster has done a great job of adding different sections to make navigation easy.

I'm a relative newbie too, although I was a grey nomad's member probably a year before I owned a 4x4 (bought in March 2020)
I asked several quetions on the forum before I even purchased the car, listened to advice from the forum, the RAA, and read reviews on vehicles and my gut and finally settled on an vehicle that was right for me
I also asked more questions of the g.n. forum before I headed off for my 1st solo outback 20day trip from Murray Bridge to Alice and back, but also followed my gut instinct when out there.
I now have a better idea of what I need and don't need for future trips but will be asking the people on grey nomad's forum for their input yet again, this time looking at what I might possibly tow. But for now at least I'm out there (although I'll be sticking to S.A. for now)

If not for this forum, I may still be umming and erring whether to take the plunge.
