I own and love a 2015 Grand Cherokee diesel. It really is the best vehicle I ever owned. I tow a Jayco Silverline and you do forget you're towing. As for fuel economy, while towing have never gone beyond 15L/100k. Around town usually around 8-9 L/100k. Agree with comments on find a reliable independent mechanic to keep the costs down and stick to the oil recommendations set out by the company. As for the majority of comments posted, third and fourth hand accounts of a product, whether a car, a TV or a brand of canned tuna, without real experience or knowledge is pretty useless. (Unless the tuna is recalled because of salmonella) As was mentioned previously, talk "first" hand with a Jeep owner in a caravan park and ask them what the pros and cons are.

Buy the Jeep and drive it out the gate and find a good mechanic.
Yep I had the Landcruiser with battery problems . To busy to look at it . My wife drove it to a large Toyota dealer in Dandenong. $250-00 later that day picked the car up. Told it needed a new battery.
I got $250-00 of advice nothing else. I had to take it to a battery dealer which I should have done in the first place. Even jeep would be proud of that effort...
