New 4x4 pickups coming.

I see some media talk of GWM, KIA and Hyundai entering the 4x4 pickup market. There are images on the net. They say they will be direct competition the Toyota and the Ford Ranger. What I haven't seen is any hint of tow rates. Has anyone seen specs for these pickups? HAVAL H9 has a tow rating of 2500kg. I'm guessing the new pickups will be similar. So a price shakeup coming.

The GWM is already here - 3,000 kg towing limit, but from what I have read it may be a bit underpowered to comfortably tow that frequently.
Here's the review I read -

"A bit underpowered...." Yeah,at 120kw I'd certainly agree with that!  Tows 3000kg.....borderline? With a GCM of 5555kg,this would give you 2700kg behind a car that weighs,on paper,2855kg,although this is unobtainable without specialised loading. At least the car would then be heavier than the van, albeit by only 5%.The longer wheelbase certainly would increase safety.Haven't checked axle capacities yet.Cheers

According to some recent articles the all new T7 platform Ranger/Amarok is due out soon and will be offered with a V6 diesel in some models, possibly the American Powerstroke . There is also a suggestion that the towing capacity may see an increase on the V6 models.

Fair bit of hurry up going on to catch up with the V6 Amarok from the looks of that. Pity they're not working as hard on getting the rear axle out from under the back seat!!
