Us too.   I dont want to catch the virus at all.   Reports of survival rates are not much comfort.   Recent study in the US is scary.   Something like 29% of those who were hospitalised and recovered, are readmitted within 140 days and a large number of those subsequently die.   Subsequent re-admissions are from COVID triggered heart problems, kidney problems, and diabetes.

Dunno... there are a lot of loonies out there too but just *because* someone does not following mainstream thinking does not ipso facto make them one.

Major developments almost never originate from individuals who are stuck in the rut of following the herd thought and belief system.

I think when the vaccine becomes available the choice might just be made for us. Although the Government cannot force anyone to take the vaccine, they can certainly restrict the movement and activities of those that choose not to accept it. I know from recent experience during this covid crisis in going to visit my old mum in aged care that if I chose not to have the flu immunisation then they would choose not to allow me to enter the facility.

All the government needs to do is to either legislate or direct Government Departments, banks, entertainment venues et al not to allow unvaccinated persons to enter.

Freedom of choice does not necessarily mean freedom of choice.

Facebook, twitter are banning posts that say anything that may be considered supporting conspiracy theories. There is no such thing as informed choice these days just the pro govt. line. I can understand not going into nursing homes without vaccination but its could get scary if they go too far.

I think we have to be grateful that our Governments are at least listening to "health professionals", in all states and federally.
I can understand peoples cynicism in regards to trusting the Government( their own fault)but these are unusual times, while health professionals are involved I feel "reasonably" confident that we are being given the correct information.
Otherwise who do you listen too, Graig Kelly, Allan Jones or maybe even Donald Duck or even Fox news?
Just imagine if we "all" decided not to take the vaccine, what then?
just my thoughts
Ian

Both these companies must be regarded as anti free speech.

The internet will morph, as it always has, and uncensored speech will emerge again.

---

Despite people attempting to twist my words I am not anti vaccine (quote me, if you can?) but I am pro free speech in all its wonderful vagaries - if we shut down free speech then we shut down progress.

I really do wonder how many of you have read George Orwell's novel 1984?

Sorry, if I listed all "all n..ters" (in my opinion) I would have been typing all day missing out on happy hour, which is about to commence.

But yes you can add him as well, the list goes on!

What I find the most tedious is that every time any mention whatsoever of a vaccine is made on the news we immediately get shown footage of someone in a laboratory either looking at or filling up a test tube followed by someone else getting a needle.

Thank God the proposed method of delivering the vaccine is not by way of a suppository.  Wouldn't that make the news footage interesting!

Q and A last night
Did anyone watch it, 4 x health experts with NO politicians! Without a doubt one of the most informative shows re the virus I have seen, NO politics!
I really hope some of the people on here watched it, including the very popular Craig Kelly & Paleo Pete, as it really did explain what will be happening with the vaccine(s) as well as putting to bed some of the myths floating around the community and on THIS forum.
If you did'nt see it go to catchup and watch it, very informative for all.
cheers
Ian

As it was on the ABC I imagine the viewing audience could be counted on one hand. The audience would have been made up of representatives of every minority group, each competing against one another to be recognized as the main victim in our society.

I suggest you watch it on iview catchup, it was very informative about much of what has been discussed on here, it was not about the audience!

I realise a lot of people don't watch Q&A but this episode was not political or had anything to do with minority groups.

Thanks for your suggestion but no thanks. I think cleaning out my sock drawer would interest me more than the tripe they peddle.

Yes I guess the audience would have been quite small but the ABC is quite used to that. Getting harder and harder to find people who can handle words containing more than two syllables in complex sentences.

'All pigs are equal but some pigs are more equal than others'?  Was that written on the barn wall I think.

My memory is failing since I last read 1984 circa 50 years ago & someone has permanently borrowed my collection of Orwell's books.

Edit .... After a little bit of research  ,, The quote was 'All ANIMALS etc' (not All PIGS) and was from Animal farm.  At least it was a mis quote of an Orwell novel.  I got that bit right.  LOL

Hi Recoup

Thanks for putting that link up, as I do not watch much TV

But...

If what he said was true, that the leaders of the new global order, are using the pandemic as a coup, or what he called the great reset, then I would have expected him to have been silenced, last week

Because

Historically anyone who has, or is planning a coup, usually silences their critics ASAP

Therefore my gut feeling tells me, that what I was watching was nothing more than sensational reporting

Yep. Also and as well even they reckon even here in rural VIC we can only travel 5km. Funny that as it is 18km to nearest supermarket. Someone just came back from it and said it's packed so I will go in first thing in morning so might be in free accommodation tomorrow night even with bars to hold onto.
Like 1000's of others, I'm over this s..t.

Says who "you can"t make this up" there is a lot of fake made up news out there thats the big problem with social media.

You really need to fact check these types of articles, before posting, so many of them have just been made up from dodgy figures.

Some of these cases may well be true, but also maybe before posting it it would be more helpful to "fact check" it first.

cheers

Ian
