Hi thunda, if i were buying a caravan again i would go to  a caravan repair shop and in your case, bundaberg. Ring them and ask if anyone wants to do this inspection for you. Good luck.

Thunda, Have a look at buyers guide and checklists at www.caravancouncil.com.au/rv-buyers You can download these for free and give to anyone doing checks on your behalf - these answers on check lists should be of great assistance in your deliberations.

I, like you would be wary of Dealers checking vans - Most are just sales personnel - with little or no technical qualifications in Engineering or Electrical subjects. A technical aware Nomad utilising checklist would be more likely to identify faults.

Possum 3. You hit the nail right on the head mate. I'd rather a Nomad cast a critical eye over it any day, the mob advertising inspections have a list of things they DON'T inspect that is much longer than their list of things they do inspect. I'd rather pay a Nomad any day. I asked this dealer what it would cost to have it transported to Melbourne, the first price was $ 3K then it came down to $2300. I'd rather put the Cruiser on the boat and drive up there, but lve got to know that its as they say it is. And then I've got the problem of some sort of legal contract of purchase via email and a receipt for a holding deposit. Bloody headache!

Possums 3. That buyers guide you sent was well worth reading, thanks.
