Kulin WA Caravan Park 2021

As the last comment about Kulin West Australia was around 2017, below is an update as a recommended Caravan Park

There is not much in the town, so a visit may help the locals, to hold on to what few services they already have.

This town has a free 72 hours overnight stop, adjacent to a toilet shower amenity block, with potable water tap, and dump point, close by.
There is some shade from trees, in the afternoon sun

The council owned caravan park, has a (pay what you think it is worth) policy
When my wife asked what was the price, she was told, whatever you think it is worth
She paid what the going price for that area, (except Hyden which appears to be a commercial enterprise area) is, $45 for two nights.
I did not ask, but I am sure for all the solo travellers among us, they would certainly accept less, for one person

The caravan park is well set out, with each bay having 240 volt power, potable water tap, and grey water drain, plus rubbish bin.
Each site has a concrete block, large enough for car, caravan, and annex, plus ground with loose blue metal topping between each site, for annex pegs, etc.

There are 4 shower/toilet/wash basin amenity rooms, with piping hot water.

There is a camp kitchen.

There is also a laundry with washing machine and dryer

Half of the sites are drive through, so no need to unhook, if you do not wish to do so, as the caravan park is within easy walking distance to the town.

The town has one pub, which has take-a-way, or sit down meals, two café's, one IGA shop, plus a swimming pool, with a large water slide.

It has a hardware store, which is always handy for bits and bobs

There is also a motor museum, which is run by the local Mens Shed

Fuel of both petrol and diesel, is obtained from a 24 hour plastic card bowser.

Kulin is also the nearest town to the Tin Horse Highway, which has some humorous tin horse themes

There is a mobile telephone number (at the entrance of the caravan park) to contact the person in charge

We were there for two nights, on 28 and 29 December 2020, the lady in charge (Trish), was very helpful, and knowledgable

I shall certainly return, for a longer stay

Below are some pics, which can say it better than me, as I am not a professional scribe, just someone who enjoyed Kulin, and passing on my recommendation
