I had a car do this to me when I was carrying explosives down to Victoria, for the army, on the Hume freeway, I did not, nor did I have really a chance to miss, the non Australian driver, and I collected him badly, cleaned him up. He did not have a license, only an international, and he believed he was in the right. His insurance for the hire car, did not cover him, nor did the Dept. of Defense. He got a big fine as well, and was banned from driving on our roads. In these type of instances when I was carrying explosives, I was told not to avoid a car, if it meant the truck could roll over. Big Boom times otherwise.
