Car Fridge

Anyone had experience with Brass Monkey or Kings fridges? How do they stack up please?

No idea about the Kogan but I came close to buying a Brass Monkey fridge from Jaycar. The build quality seemed reasonable and you have a high street store available if there are issues and Jaycar generally seem OK about warranty issues.

Both the Kogan and Jaycar units are no-name brands out of China so generally the quality is a bit hit and miss then again I hear the new plastic Engel is nothing to write home about either. I'd go for the Jaycar unit.

I had a 30 ltr Engle for 30 + years and recently gave it to my kids. Bought a Dometic 75ltr. can't fault it. My coolman was my second choice. The new Engel was too high. Looked at Brass Monkey and others, but you need to know that it will work also in the tropics  also. You always get wot you pay 4.

We have the Brass Monkey 95L and it is great. Dual zone. We had in up In Karratha and north west in summer in the back of our Ute running off solar and battery. Didnt miss a beat. Downside, its a bit noisy but Jaycar are looking into it for us. But as a fridge it works as well as our Engel .

Mate left for Brisbane from Cairns several days ago. Has a Brass Monkey 60 litre. He messaged me a screen shot of his power usage... 48A/h for 2 1/2 days. Not a bad power consumption. Fridge set on 4 degrees in the back of a hilux twin cab. He,s very happy with it.
