Ok been living in van for 10 months working . Now have a sitting job over chrismas so going to resort van early Feb and then hit road full time. Have sorted mail, insuranc, road side service and bank. Can you get out of voting? What are other things needing changeing? Have wiki camp.
Thanks for the ideas have already got of this site over the last few years.
Yes you can get out of voting by applying to be an 'Itinerant' person. Meaning, a person of no fixed address. You will need to do that with the AEO though. It will cover Federal, State and Local Govmints.
You will actually have to put down your last place of residence that you voted under, then at election times you can choose to vote under that address if you wish or not vote at all.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

Yeah, like you,I just shook my head in frustration. Many years ago I spent a few days with an obviously highly intelligent(?) woman who proudly announced "I never vote...what difference will my vote make?".Derrrr........and they walk amongst us.Cheers
We travelled overseas for about 28 years. Coming back and forth to Australia. We simply applied to the AEC for an exemption. All we had to do is tell them when we returned to stay. We did that about 12 months ago. Not a big deal.
I reckon all you do is telle'm you don't want to vote and have no interest in the joint.
You don't know any thing and you don't want a pension and telle'm all to go jump.
In fact You don't want any thing funded by that lot and they can stick all their hospitals and public servants etc. including them coppers. The voters that wanted the pollies to build all that stuff wasted they money....
Ha any other sugestion and about voteing I have never not voted but I don't own a house any more and looking at traveling for 3 or more years don't know where I will settle so why should I vote in Councils election or state but yes I should in federal as it is importent to me.
