For all the wordsmiths and English teachers.

AMAZING ONE WORD RIDDLE. > Never in  a million years would I have come up with the answer. > What if this was  the only question on the exam paper to pass your English Exam. Would you  pass? > What nine letter word in the English language is still a word when  eight letters are removed one by one? > Take a few minutes to try and come  up with a nine letter word that fits > The bill, then watch the attached  video... > Well, just watch the video....because you're never going to  figure it out.

A bit of Fun.....cheers Bob

Here's one possibility:

The secret was to work backwards. I found heaps of 8-letter solutions before I found this one.

As always Bob, can not open your attachments. Any clues as to where we can find the answer? Ta.

Don't click on either of the following links if you don't want to see the answer:

https://www.google.com/search?q=What%20nine%20letter%20word%20in%20the%20English%20language%20is%20still%20a%20word%20when%20%C2%A0eight%20letters%20are%20removed%20one%20by%20one%3F

If you want to work it out for yourself, start with a 1-letter word and add letters to it.

There are plenty of other solutions:
