No paywall for me Peter. I think every state has more registered vehicles than drivers. Certainly the national figures show more cars than drivers. Of the three in our driveway, two are registered to my spouse. Our neighbours son has a work and private vehicle as do most of his workmates due the on-call nature of their contracts. I know FBT means some employers run a vehicle pool from the workplace not the employee's home so employees need their own vehicles. I don't find it at all surprising or unusual.

No messages when I posted unless I post again too quickly after an earlier post.

In our  Sydney block of 15 units, 14 vehicles & 28 people.

Inner city living, we are typical of the people around here, we effectively do not need a car for day to day living as we can walk everywhere for most of our needs.

In the last 12 months have done less than 800km & the car's computer said I did 41L/100 km. I did often drive 6.5 metres so I could fiddle on the car in the driveway!

And lots of people in NQ have lost their licences too for various reasons.
But the silly thing is that they continue to drive on NO licence, get caught & are given a longer period of disqualification. Does this mean they can still drive for longer with no licence?

Some people have been out in the sun for too long!

My house has 4 Vehicles and 2 drivers + 2 trailers registered.+ 1 hobi cat.+ 2 bikes.

2 Cars, my Motorhome and his motorbike 6x4 trailer and Hobi trailer. I would not think that is too outrageous.

Actually quotes this sites webmaster

SNIP
Cindy Gough established the Grey Nomads Facebook site in 2011 and it now has 37,000 followers.

She said "grey nomads" - people aged over 55 who buy a caravan or motorhome after retiring and drive around Australia - usually had a car or two as well as their motorhome. ,,,
