gitshoe,
Am not certain what that device is. I have a Nighthawk M2 wireless modem - totally portable. Is my internet, WiFi at home & away.

I've heard of a more expensive setup for more remote areas but haven't had the need.

We have a Cel-fi , we use it in the house as we live in a poor reception area, and set up in the caravan when traverling.  Only one bar of reception is needed to get a boost in siginal to five bars. [ 100% boost.]  The unit can be set up in any vehicle.

I use one.... mostly in the vehicle then I move it to the van when needed. Our van has an external locker intended for a TV..... I just place the cel unit in there.... it has a 12v power socket already I bought a second internal antenna and this is placed inside the van..... and I bought a 11db yaggi and use it on a telescopic pole mounted on the rear bumper.... need to make sure any solar panels up there are not shaded by the antenna. (a omni antenna on my tv antenna would cast a long shadow....  we don't use the tv mormally... so is always down).

Hi Allan...I have one,and they are a great bit of gear.My  aerial is mounted on the roof of the canopy on my car,and is around 3 metres off the ground.Works well in the car,but performance is not so good once you move away from the car,and is non-existent when you are inside the van,so I simply ran a lead from the car,and into the van.Now works well, and,as already stated, easily boosts one bar to five.During testing,I drove deep into the bush where all locals reported no reception, but I was able to make calls and use my iPad with no problems at all.Highly recommended. Cheers
