Enjoying the peace and quiet on a station north of White cliffs - well, except for the buzz of the blowies, when a couple of 4wds towing camper trailers rolled in.
Loud 4-way conversation deciding where to set up camp, and then one considerate chap got out his battery powered leaf blower and spent 10 minutes blowing all the dust off the rig. I guess the rattle gun will come out next.
Ah yes, out it comes.
Might have to switch a couple of aircon on to hight and turn the TV sound up a bit
And the air compressor. I think they aired down to get across the cattle grid at the entrance

What I really like is when the 4wd covered with spot lights, winches, several aerials, anti bog racks, the obligatory surf board and a few fishing rods arrives on the scene towing the camper trailer with several bikes and a boat, driven by Action Man, covered in tattoos.
Action Man also has the loudest voice in the vicinity as he gives direction to the missus and a few spotty brats. Whilst the unpacking begins, the brats ride their bikes through everyone else's campsite whilst Action Man cranks up the car radio with the soundtrack to his life.
This usually occurs about 5pm on a Friday night and finishes usually about 10am on the Sunday morning. None of the stuff he has dragged along and unpacked gets used, just put back on the 4wd and off goes Action Man back to regale his mates about his "awesum" weekend in the wild.
Nothing like the campsite being invaded by the bogans and all you can really do is try to ignore it all. Unfortunately my last weekend of freedom before lockdown was spent listening to loud voices, swearing and loud music that had a familiar beat that i heard a few years ago whilst on holiday east of the Mediterranean. BUT I guess I have given people the irrates during my younger days with trail bikes and 4WD trips. Just gotta roll with it and hope they go away asap.

I,m so old I can remember when campers showed consideration for the space of others, If you were close enough to be bothered by some ones generator , television or radio you were to close. Things have certainly changed has Australia really shrunk that much?

In life it is important to know when to stop arguing with people
and simply let them be wrong.
Reckon most of us have had a similar experience.
Think the one that stands out most in my mind was in a similarly isolated and pleasant area - Dalhousie Springs - a National Park camp ground. We were there at a time when Rangers had done a lot of revegetation work and enclosed those areas off. We were enjoying the space, quiet and swimming in the bore fed springs water hole.
Three vehicles of adult bogans with a heap of kids arrived. Kids proceeded to go feral everywhere, totally ignoring Keep Out signs, running through the camps of the handful of the rest of us who had been enjoying the peace.
The adults - loudly - set up their camps, beer cans in hands as they did so, then settled down to drink steadily, ignoring their offspring.
Then said brats - mostly aged in the 8-12 range - were allowed to head off to the waterhole, their antics and noise ruining the experience there for other visitors.
I wandered down to the pool, with The Driver, then - in the loudest talking voice I could muster - started making comments about crocs in the pool. That cleared them out and we - along with some other appreciative campers - were able to swim in peace.
