The LCOOL forum has been down for some days now. I sent an email to lcool admin and received a reply this morning from Lawrance, one of the moderators. The cause of the site going down is under investigation, they hope to have it back up and running ASAP and to please be patient while it is being "sorted".

Thanks for that Dave...I too have not been able to access that site of late,and actually was asked by another Grey Nomad what I thought the problem was.Cheers
No worries. I find LCOOL very handy and worthwhile for its wealth of information on the 200 series. It is a pity their search function is just woeful. Plus part of their moderation team can be very critical and at times downright rude. (excluding Lawrance as above I must say) They rule the site with an iron fist and woe betide anyone who bucks the system. Aside from that - a great site for the info one can glean from it.
I have been a member since the inception of the current forum when it changed from a less usefull format. I has to be realised it is privately funded and all mods are volunteers.
So there is no slandering or smart mouths tolerated.
I have no probs finding info as the place is divided into separate models, but I have yet to meet any forum totally inclusive of a google type search. In fact, some times hard to find searchers a better done on google as they might direct a person to the page in the Lcool site more quickly.
Most sites operate under the system of the generic provider and searchers can get muddled. Google for example caters for miss spelt words, most forums do not. Just saying for general info.
Thanks Dave....Great site for Landcruiser owners to discuss these fine vehicles,put forward their own ideas,and share experiences etc.It also is a great site to learn about the severe axle limitations when GVM upgrades are done on one of the more popular models.However,other Toyota models can benefit greatly from these upgrades,with my explanations being greatly appreciated by members of that site,who are happy to listen and learn.Cheers

I am a member also. Always find what I need. If not one can ask a question and will be rewarded with some sort of an answer. Found out things that Toyota did not know.

Being inactive I cant get access to do it.
I became inactivate 2 weeks ago when I updated my email and password.
