Free camp near tin can bay qld

Hi everyone, i am planning a trip and i recall being told of a free overnight camp on way to tin can bay qld that has a pie shop near it. Does anyone here know the name of it and exactly where it is? And will our 25 foot van fit? putting it out there. Thanks.

Silky Oak Tea gardens (hotel/brewery) at Kia Ora, just off main road

Hi Rocket.

Stayed at the Ross Creek Store while I checked out Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach late last year.

It was a nicely mowed grassed paddock behind the store. Quite tidy back then. Two other vans there at the time.

It has a bit of a slope if I recall correctly.

Would use again. It is a store on its own, not in a town.

Yes your van would fit in.

Joe.

Rocket, Wikicamps reports the Ross Creek Store as being under new management since I was there, and currently says 24 hours.

Hi Rocket,

Just saw this somewhere and funnily enough had just emailed my daughter suggesting that when we get out of this lockdown we should go there one morning for breaky. who knows when we will have a chance.
