A crack developing in the steering lock housing can cause the steering wheel to lock into the straight ahead position when the key is turned.

I must say that I am impressed with this recall

For vehicles manufactured between 2001 and 2007, (so at least 13 to 19 years old)

This says a lot, about the public relations of this manufacturer
