Heading North - WA

We were heading south to Perth from Carnarvon over the weekend and the number of vans heading north was staggering, Ive never seen anything like it. We witnessed one accident involving a jack knifed van and another vehicle, countless numbers of idiots ignoring double white lines and just a general selfish attitude of many people on the road. Also a number of key fuel outlets in Geraldton are either out of or low on diesel. Stay safe.

Hi Ger08

This seems to be fairly normal, at this time of year

The WA school holidays have ended today, so over the weekend, some would have been holidaying in the south, and going back north for school

Plus a lot of travellers leave the south, to go north after the school holidays

I had often wondered, how come all the RV's traffic, is always going the opposite way
A wise man once told me, if we are going at roughly the same speed, we do not see the other RV's traffic, in front or behind us

Agree with you, driving south from 80 mile beach this morning and cant believe the amount of caravans heading north . Great to see though in the current climate. Glad we could spend some time up there in the warmth.
