Annexe

Hi G and R again Our van is coming from S.A. its a Gold star Liberty Tourer

1. It has an awning , I (R) would like to get an annex my husband (G) thinks we should wait and get it done here (Perth) The annex is made by Aussie Traveller situated in

Vic and Qld. Not sure if getting it made by another company will be more expensive or as  good. It will delay delivery by another 10 days on top of the 2 weeks it takes to get here from SA.

2. I have read on line lots of suggestions regarding the NECESSITY for having locks eg. for solar panels on the roof etc. I am confused now as to what to get ie is a strong bike lock ok or do we need to get something stronger.

Would really appreciate your advice Nomads

G + R

An annexe is normally only required if travelling with family or setting up camp for an extended period - Try without annex, consider lightweight privacy screen/s. Annex very heavy, difficult for solo erection, take valuable space, expensive. Look at other annexes locally and on web, you would most probably get equal or better.
If solar panel are mounted on roof that is usually enough security, towball security and wheel clamps usally good enough deterrent to make someone look elsewhere - In these days of portable grinders/cut off wheels no caravan (or any other property) cannot be stolen easily - if they want it they will get it - Best security is a good insurance policy that covers your dream and contents.

Hi GandR, now that you have introduced yourself here you are best to ask questions etc in the appropriate section/s. By doing that, it makes it easier to find similar questions or answers etc when things hit the dungeon. Not many come into this section. This section is just to introduce yourself then you move.
