Diesel heater, e bay

New to buying on e bay and would like to purchase a 2kw diesel heater.

My main question is how do you pick a supplier out of hundreds?

Or can someone tell me who they have had good experience with.

Buy from an Australian based supplier - less trouble if things go wrong.

Choose a supplier with, at least, a few hundred sales to their name and a positive feedback of no less than 98%.

Most diesel heater sellers provide a photograph of the contents of the kit - compare photographs.

For a 5kW Chinese diesel heater expect to pay between A$180 to A$230 including freight.

Probably best, but not essential, to use PayPal.

Agree. But stick with the 2kw. Anything larger is the 5kw model which is - larger in size, less economical and has a hotter low setting. The 3kw for example is actually a 5kw just to suck you in as you think you might get a slightly larger than 2kw one. I have a 16x7 ft van and wished Id got the 2kw model. Living in our van atm and our heater is wonderful

Thank you Eaglemax and Mike.

My choice so far has been AU Focus Melbourne and I did get to speak with a real person and on the land line.

For a 2kw quoted full kit and delivery $ 315, a little dearer then others but some are full on reading with all sorts of time delays, some are just for heater only.

I am having trouble getting my head around it all.

Well my first purchase on E Bay arrived yesterday, 7 days 4.3 hours after hitting the OK button from Melbourne even when the advert read Sydney.

My only real complaint is, there was a small charge added after I hit the OK  that was not anywhere on the screen but show up when checking the bank statement.

Now trying to get back into E bay to ask why and finding that more stressing then the extra charge is worth.

Thank you Eaglemax and Mike Harding for your suggestions.

When buying from eBay, at the top right hand side you will see seller ratings and reviews. Check these out. Also pay with PayPal as they will help with any difficulties. We have bought heaps this way, including our diesel heater.
