Mount Isa police are reminding travellers they're not permitted to visit Burketown, Gregory, Doomadgee, Mornington Island or Sweers Island over the school holidays.
Access to remote communities remains restricted under Queensland's Public Health Act.
Police have recently turned 24 vehicles away, and hefty fines apply for those breaching restrictions.
