The 1/3 & 2/3 rear seat bases (not seat backs) & the 3 head rests I remove from our car total 11.3kg.

So hardly worth it, but it is the space they take up as the bases fold forward, where we place water containers in the centre of the car as low as possible.

I can't see the seat backs weighing more than the bases as there is less steel in them.

These days I have trouble lifting a 20kg bag of cement. Don't know how I lifted those old 40kg bags, but was a bit younger then!

Around 1980 Geelong Cement Workers went on strike, so the mob I was working for in Albury had an agency for Adelaide Brighton Cement, we were small players in the local market. Put out a call for semi's to bring back 40kg bags of cement from Anguston to Albury, will pay good money. One bloke turned up with a semi tipper full of bagged cement, on the floor. (The poor drivers normally got bags delivered on a shoulder height conveyor and placed them onto a Chep pallet on a normal flat top semi.). The tipper driver thought well bugger it I will just dump them onto the floor. After picking up over 500 bags of 40kg, walking them back to the back end of tipper and place on a pallet hanging on forklift, no wonder back is crook.
Reminds me of the Roy Orbison song a bit.

What 10kph. I swear Ive never been so much as 1 kph over the speed limit and my rig is always under weight. Sam as everyone on the forum. Must weight their rig daily while traveling!

 

Sheesh give the bloke a break. Probably new to vans and learning just like mose here.

 Most likely you will be well over at least 1 of the weight limits.

IMO its heard to calculate your weight. I would load up everything including water and fuels and go to the local weight bridge and see where your at. ( might get a surprise you wernt planning on, I did) You can then better make a reasonably accurate assessment.
