Are you now too short to pull down the roller door

Been laughing at the better half for shrinking a bit lately. Now my turn, I have to stand on tip toes to pull down the roller door. Her side has an automatic closer, but I prefer manual labour, or W..r.  . This morning I found two bits of 20mm thick x  40mm x 60mm ply and screwed them to the ' bottom of the door" stoppers on the inside. This decreased the opening height by that amount, so now can easily reach the door handle. (Doors were always a bit higher than standard from new.).

Nothing a bit of string won't fix!

Or for that matter a piece 4 by 2!
