Can we use draino to clean out the grease in the pipes and tank without causing damage?

Put some dishwashing liquid in and go for a drive.

We use a strong solution of Pine O Clean and hot water.

DrainO works for me. I let a small amount sit in the sink S bend for ten minutes, before a good tablespoon followed by a couple of litres of water and a good slosh around. Alternative is a Dishwasher tablet.

The 30%+ Nappi San type solutions we use in the loo also does a great job on our Grey Water tank, especially if we drain it and drive a few k's to slosh it all around.

I use nappy San / percarbonate of soda in both tanks . Once is while I fill with warm Washing machine water with added commercial engine degreaser to get any fats, oils cleaned . Often leave it in there 1/4 full till I empty at next dump
Point . Keeps the pump impeller clean . Try to park on angle where outlet is so it empties properly . Often the last bit has the solid grey matter !!

Same as Aus-Kiwi above

We always try to avoid, allowing food scraps, to go down the sink, by firstly wiping the dishes with a paper towel, before washing them

We use Napisan or Boost occasionally

We mix the Napisan/Boost in warm water, until it is diluted, and then pour down the sink

If you do not dilute the Napisan/Boost, then the granules may clog up the Hevpo (one way) valve, in the drain pipe
