any members here purchased a used sprinter camper van from kea.

hi all we are in the process of buying a 2015 sprinter camper lwb van 2/1 model. as the 3rd passengers seat behind drivers seat. folds out into a single bed. kea are the only vans .that have the seat bed arrangement out there. does any one here know of any one. that has brought a used van from kea at all. we prefer a merc v6 diesel engine van preferably. than the 4cylinder 2.1 litre engine van. as we will be towing a small  covered in tandem trailer as well. for the extra items my old mans wants to have. he has a shovel with a motor on it.  I think I know why as well.  incase we part ways in the scrub. sue

Welcome to the gang Sue and your "old man", enjoy here and out in the playground.

Mmm, does your "old man" call you his "old lady" confusesmile or maybe even the "old girl" confusebiggrin

I'm sure you have looked into it but make sure the 'sprinter' no, not him, the vehicle, can cope with a loaded tandem trailer on the back.

Keep safe out there.

Hi Sue,

Kea are ex hire vehicles that are fully refurbished when they come off the fleet.

They are owned by a company called THL (Tourism Holdings Ltd) a reputable company listed on the NZ stock exchange and they offer excellent service backup.

I have sent you a PM

We have friends who purchased a used KEA motorhome. Albeit on a Ford chassis. They are happier than pigs in s$#@ with it.
I'm sure there is a KEA group out there somewhere. I just don't have a contact for them.

Hi 2 olestiffs,
Caravan World no. 583 has a road test of a s/hand Kea motor home. Their only complaint was "rental type furniture".
