Back under a new name

Hey all, I was RosieW, but I locked myself out of the associated email account, so had to start again.

Way back when, it was me, him, 2 dogs and a bird. For a while it was me, him, 4 dogs and a bird. Then the rude bugger died on me (April last year) so now I am back to me, 2 dogs and a cat.

Living in Mandurah for the time being. Moved here at the end of March from working as a caretaker on a Northern Goldfields cattle station. Plan to get my Cert 3 in Individual Support and get back to red dirt country. How I do not know - the van I live in is too big for my wee car to tow. But I am sure I will work it out.

The moniker is related to my animal's attitudes - I get '2 paws up Mum!' on a daily basis at least.

Sold it to the folks I was working for - didn't have the licence to drive it. And it was too hard to hold onto emotionally - too many memories. It is having a great life as a motorhome still. Same problem with the Triton (that is having a new life as a wildlife rescue and release vehicle in Victoria).

The end came hard and fast. I was lucky in one way, the job we had literally just taken was with great people (we came from QLD to take it, were there a month and it all went sideways). They looked after me and the animals, and gave me a place to live and a job after I got my head on kind of straight. We remain friends. Only reason I left is because they had family stuff going on that saw them keeping close to home and taking on a lot of what I was doing. But I'd go/they'd have me back in a heartbeat. Just gotta wait and see.

How are things with you?

Hey Doug! Yeah we were in Tassie.

Wandered up to Queensland, knocked around a bit (mostly coastal), went to SA (Gawler), back to Queensland (the Mitchell-Bollon Road) and now in WA. The dogs and I 'tourist' a bit from time to time.
