Plan that much-needed break

Great news! Our VIC parks are scheduled to re-open 1 June 2020 - that's next Monday!

And we'll be super excited to welcome you back.

Not sure where to go? Check out all the BIG4 parks in VIC here

If you book now, youll be able to cancel within 72 hours at most parks thanks to our flexible cancellation policy.*

As of 1 June, cabins with their own bathrooms, ensuite sites, and caravans with own facilities will be permitted.  Camp kitchens and shared bathrooms will be closed. Check individual park pages for more information.

=================================================

Now Taking Bookings

The majority of BIG4 parks in Victoria will reopen from 1 June and are now taking bookings. July, Sep/Oct school holidays and Christmas bookings are selling fast. Additional cleaning, hygiene management and social distancing will continue to apply in all parks

Were in a Big 4 in Coffs Harbour and received a message that prices are going up to normal on 1 June. They have had lots wanting to book in. Only half amenities open and everything else shut. Well be moving on.....

An extract from an email issued by our local member in Vic yesterday:

From 01 June 2020

You will be also able to stay in tourist accommodation, including caravan parks and camping grounds, where there are no shared communal facilities (e.g. kitchens and bathrooms)

Tourist accommodation can open to guests provided there are no shared communal facilities such as kitchens or bathrooms

So only partial excitement is permitted in Victoria, you're still stuffed if your van isn't self contained, or if no en suite sites are available.

Just booked for a week around the Taree area from the 15th June. Big 4 extra discount, $27.00 per night. May stay longer. We use our own shower and BBQ.

Just need to use common sense in the amenity block.

Dick.

Big 4 will not ever stay in one of them, we generally avoid any of the chain caravan parks except Kui. Most are that over priced there not value for money.

We're of a similar opinion Gundog.

Never stay in any of the chain/franchise parks.

As you say, over priced, much prefer the personal touch most independent businesses offer.smile
