Two new additions

Hi all. Late last year I replaced the skin of my nearly 18 yo awning. Costing nearly $500 and a bit of time on my hands I thought I would install a Jaydes Awning Saver. At $85 and half an hours work I think it is a good investment to protect my awning from the weather. Also decided to fit min flaps as I have pipes and wiring behind the wheel area. $28 and another half hour and job done. Very pleased with myself.

Any pics Colin. Apart from the skin I'm unfamiliar with the other things.

I will be up for a new roller and 'skin' sometime this year myself.

Keep Safe out there.

You can just see a press stun at the front. There are 5 across the top on mine. Then it is held front and back by a strap. Took me half an hour to fit it.

I figure $85 is good insurance for a $500 awning skin. I know my last one was around 16 year old but now I may never have to renew it. Not at my age anyway !!!

Hi Col, that looks good.
My awning need replacing but is holding together with white cloth based tape from Doug's green shed.
Even when the van is in the carport, the awning is at the mercy of our tropical sun for several hours.

Do you have to take them off when driving?
