About the ostiopreosis, ,etc.

Regular readers/writers will no doubt remember my rantings a number of weeks ago regarding my "OSTI" problem.

Nutshell. An operation on my lower back. Pain had/has been bad for about 6 years. 2017. An op to stop the pain. First time in hospital. 2 weeks later, and I am without pain. Must get out of the southern winter. Gentle drive to Qld. Odd pain in my right hip/thigh. Getting worse. Over the next 12 months I visited 9 doctors.

They all gave me 'scripts for pain killers. The last doctor has me on 20 pills a day!? She said it is ostioporosis. I asked her for more details. The answer was that the problem is incureable !!?? Next step is one, then two crutches. Then a walking frame. Finally, a wheel chair. She didn't even look up from her computer when advising me of my "fate". The pain is 24/7. Varies from 7 out of 10, to 10 out of 10. So, that's it. I know there are lots people a bloody sight worse off than me. Just having a rant.

Regards to all.

Pipes.

I have recently been given cannabis medication for my osteoporosis as a trial, have been on those pills for a week. Has reduced the pain to 50% . Have been told a higher dose will be better. The thing is, I am not allowed to drive on them as it shows up in drug test on the side of the road, so will not be following through with it. Back to the cocaine sourced codeine, which you can still drive with.

Hi Pipes , I suffered with severe pain in my right knee for two years ...it was so painful that i could hardly walk and i cried a lot . The only answer from specialists was pain killers or have a knee replacement . Then i heard about PRP injections so i did some googling and found a sports center doctor that did them .......i had 3 injections and most of the time now i am pain free . I would highly recommend these injections / they are a bit expensive but worth every bit to be pain free and i would have them again if needed .

Information

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy uses injections of a concentration of a patient's own platelets to accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. In this way, PRP injections use each individual patient's own healing system to improve musculoskeletal problems.

If need to know more please PM me Kind Regards .

G'day Pipes,
I sent you a PM a week or so ago.

A friend mentioned a few days ago that he's wearing two necklaces - one around his ankle, one around his neck - made of hematite.
He said the arthritis hasn't gone but the pain has. Could be worth a try??
He was sceptical initially but when the first one worked, he bought the second.

Hey Pipes...she indoors ( LILIAN )..has suggested to git your Rs to a medico specialising in this ...as there are treatments for it. Also highly recommends you get some calcium and vitamin D into you every night...as osteoporosis means you have soft bones..and this aint good.

You should still have my number  (after your GL700 alternater job ) so give us a ring if you like. May be of some help...ya never know.

Cheers  Keith

As Keith said, get to a doctor specialising in osteoporosis. My husband was told he had osteo when he was in his early 50's. He was told to take calcium and was put on testosterone therapy for 2 years. He had regular bone density scans and now, in his early 70's, has normal bone structure.

At the time I was in a lot of pain After 3 lots of injections over a number of weeks and exercises prescribed

by the doc all good now no more problems.

Hey Pipes, sorry to hear you are in such pain and haven't been given a light at the end of the tunnel.

Apart from checking out another Doctor, have you considered Full Spectrum Hemp, (not hemp SEED oil which is great for cholesterol and skin) but hemp which is high in cannabinoids, terpenes, phytocannabinoids and much more. By law it has to be lower than 0.03% THC - you need to use marijuana for a high. Hemp is great for pain, brain function and hormonal support. It isn't hallucinogenic so you don't need to be concerned about losing control.

If you'd like to know more please let me know, as I work in this space. Happy to help you reduce the inflammation and resultant pain.
