SEALANT FOR AROUND LIGHTS

Just wondering what sort of sealant would be best for around and on the set of lights on the back of my caravan. Have found that is where I am getting water leaking into the bottom of the cupboard inside. Have narrowed it down to the light. There is signs of the sealant having a gap but also a very fine crack about 20cm long in the black plastic of the light.

I would use Sikaflex "Construction AP" or Sikaflex "Pro". Good adhesion, good UV stability, paintable.
Silicone is banned on out vehicle.
Cheers,
Peter

I had a similar problem and agree with Peter, use Sikaflex. To do a nice neat job I used masking tape either side of the joint, about 3mm either side, applied the Sikaflex and then ran my finger along the joint to smooth it out. I then removed the masking tape straight away and the seal looked like a neat gasket.
