Portable air conditioner

Does anyone successfully use a portable air conditioner? We have a small hybrid van (Modcon C3). Looking for something that you can vent out a window and is not an evaporative cooler. The Zero Breeze Mark 2 seems good but has mixed reviews and I'm not even sure if they are available in Australia. Any ideas?

A portable AC will work well if you can seperate the room side to the external side. If you can't build it in, apart from the AC exhaust out the window, add a second pipe from outside to the intake on the AC for the exhaust.

I have also added filters on both the inside air & the outside air to stop dust clogging up internal & external sides. It's surprising how dirty both filters get.

I didn't want to cut more holes in the ceiling as this was a temporary measure..... over 15 years now as it works well. Actually the first AC eventually died so I bought another Dimplex reverse cycle AC (second hand) to slot in its place.

Thanks, but it's a small caravan - Modcon C3 - only about 6 sq.m.

The problem with portables is they use inside air so that air has to be replaced, through cracks, gaps etc.
