Just wondering if you can use your air conditioning unit while you are driving? We have a Ibid 4 installed but no air conditioning is in the cab. We own a Toyota Coaster
If you can generate 240 volts to run it, but other wise no. Have heard of motorhomes in the US running their outside generators when driving to run their airconds. but it would not be legal here.
Bicyclecamper what make you think running the generator whilst underway would be illegal ? no different to a fridge truck running the fridge unit . would need to shut it off when fuelling up .

Hi Bicyclecamper, I think you got that wrong.
I had about 10 years driving Refrigerated trucks, some diesel and some petrol run frig units. even at times I carted refrigerated containers using a portable power pack to supply 415 volts to these unit using gas fueled motors.
With the general knowledge and reasonable placing of a petrol generator it would be a no brainier and no worst then a camper placing his generator in crowded camp site.
