Ibis 3 question

Can anyone tell me,  should the fan on the rooftop unit blow air or suck air?

My a/c has never been much good and I have been doing some investigation of its operation. Yesterday I noticed that the fan on the rooftop unit is sucking air from the outside, whereas I would have thought it would have thought it should pull air in throught the condensor fins and then expell it out of the top of the unit.

Thoughts?

Ibis 3 sucks air from the centre of the internal unit and takes that over the fins and out the 4 ducts. The internal centre has a filter that needs cleaning every 50 hours or so.

You can download the manual as a PDF from here www.dometicrvcentre.com.au/documentmanager/item/647

 I really have no idea.

When we had a problem with our 2012 Ibid 3 a/c, most inconvenient time, I had parked the caravan on a powered site as my wife was not well and temps had been dropping, my thoughts were I could warm the caravan up for us in the morning and after 30 minutes gave that idea away of getting warm. Well while we were parked up a day or 2 latter I rang Ibis service number in Adelaide which went to Dometic in Melbourne, the Lady service person was extremely helpful, gave me some clues on possible as to the problem, then cost and then by name, number of their repairer in Coffs Harbour who she had dealing with over the phone.

So what my thoughts are ring Ibis/Domestic in Melbourne with a bit of luck you will get the Lady techno with knowledge and they will answer that question.

No we did not use Coffs repairer but I would of, only we needed to be else where and lady was right on the money when we did get a/c repairerd. Works a treat.
