Have a look at the Holden Trailblazer. I am happy with mine and how easy it tows. Nothing fancy but a step above the Isuzu MU-X for comfort and features, yet will not break the bank.

May I suggest when you decide on your preferred vehicle, if you are savey & willing to hunt around, try auction places. You will certainly save a bit if you know what you are looking for, husband just got a great buy on a work Ute that is only 3 years old.

Absolutely right, but important that you know the values of the cars you are interested in before you attend the auction, and that you set your own limit for any lot you decide to bid on.Good luck.Cheers

Pajero is good car for towing up to 2500kg ATM.After that, towball weight must drop to 180kg maximum. With the 3000kg van that the OP plans to tow,he would have towball weight of only 6%....absolute madness, and an accident looking for a place to happen.Cheers

Yep, almost one year - and just to round the thread off I bought a Holden Trailblazer which is pretty much the station wagon version of the Colorado.

It tows well, returns 14L/100km towing a 3T van and 10L/100km solo, it's comfortable to drive and, so far, no complaints.

I can't speak for Yobarr but if I was in the market for another vehicle, the LDV would not get any consideration from me until the Chinese goverment ceased blackmailing Oz with trade sanctions.

Just sayin......
