compressor for wren air commander

Hi every one I am chasing a compressor for a wren air commander I am finder it hard to locate one may be getting too old a model not sure any advice would be appreciated your johno

Not mutch information to go on. What gas is in it & all the numbers & brand of the actual compressor?

compressor runs that hot that I can not touch it the unit runs for a minute or two the slows down goes clunk and starts putting out hot air

What is the duty cycle of the compressor?

All compressors get very hot very quickly, easily over 100°C. A few custom modifications like internal & external heat sinks & fan cooling reduce heat somewhat. But you really need to reduce the air to room temperature then remove the water before you use the air.

Forgot to add, the double compressor has a 100% duty cycle, the single is 50% & the small single 35%.

 Have you e-mailed Caravansplus? They have spare rotary compressors for the air commander Sparrow for about $480. Perhaps they can help you.

Easy peasy just go to a fridge supplier they will match up a compressor Actrol,or Kirby they will have one
You will need a fridgy to fit it unless you ave oxy a vac pump, gauges the right gas to put in there
get youself a quote first if it is on R22 you will have to retrofit a drop in gas
might even be easier to go a new air conditioner
then you will be on the new gas
