Hi mischief
I assume you mean that after you switch a water tap off, you can hear the pump giving a few extra pumps, and then coming on intermittently without touching any taps

I had the same problem with a Shurflo pump

Only found the problem, after a very big leak appeared

A John Guest fitting split at the thread end, in the area I have marked, on the picture

The split was on the underside, on the floor, on the line going to the hot water boiler

I could not see the leak, or get my hand underneath those pipes, to feel any wetness

Luckily it finally opened the crack, while at Greens Lake, and Richard (Dick0), kindly lent me a spare he was carrying
Thank you once again Richard

As I mainly free camp, I have always made a point of switching the electrics to the water pump off, just in case a tap accidental comes on, and I lose the water

(I now carry plenty of John Guest spares)

Hi Tony,
You've just reminded me to get a few of these fittings.

I too had a leak in our Eagle & it was from a JG fitting - the same as yours! Only mine wasn't against the floor - it was against the wall.
I did wonder if someone in the past did it up too tight.

Hi had the same problem turned out to be an o ring on the non return valve in the pump not seating properly. After leaving under mains pressure for a couple of days the problem went away.
