Nambung Music Festival Western Australia

Once again I recommend Nambung Musical Festival

Situated about 30 odd kilometres inland from Cevantes WA, (about 13 kilometres of gravel road), approximately 250 kilometres north of Perth

This has been held in October for the previous three years

Price this year was $100 per person, for 4 days of camping and music

Music started 1 pm on Thursday, finished 5 pm Sunday

We got there on Tuesday (2 days early), at an extra cost of $40, ($10 per person, per night)

Camping is on a farmers field, so no power, but water was available @ $3 donation, which goes to RFDS
Dump points available, with low pressure water, to wash out cassette

I found this year that, we were herded in like a caravan park customer

The reason for this, was that there were over 650 pre booked people
We do not pre book, as a farmers field is not suitable for my motorhome, if it rains
Total head count was between 1,000 to 1,100

Over the previous three years, this musical festival had donated, over $44,000 to charities

They say that in a caravan park, when someone sneezes, then someone else gets a cold
Unfortunately for me, I caught a touch of flu, which kept me inside during the cold nights

There was the usual St John first aid attendants, who brought out the daily newspaper

Food vans consisted of, hot potato, pizza, hamburgers with chips, ice cream, coffee, etc

Everyone seemed to have a good time, with no aggro, to my knowledge

Over 95% of the people seemed to be within, or close to, retirement age

Will I go again next year, yes Sir I will, providing it does not rain
