Im back after 5 years absence. Because of ill health and financial problems I left here. But things have turned around and we are now traveling again
We now have a 2001 Toyota Tarago, we put a blow up mattress in it with the intention of using it to sleep in and travel. But it was so cold we ended up sleeping in cabins We went from Port Pirie, Mildura, Wentworth, Silverton, Gol Gol, Renmark, Morgan and Home...not necessarily in that order
So we ended up thinking of getting a caravan, and we picked up our secondhand 1999 Jayco Starcraft 15ft Pop Top on Monday. I had to scrub it out inside and we have had a couple of little things to fix on it. But its beautiful inside, almost like a new van. We are very happy with it. We just have to get electric brakes fitted on the Tarago, then we are set to go.
We have POPPY9 on the Tarago and GRAM2 on the van, so if you see us say hello
Sorry the photos are so big
regards
Grams and Poppy

We ended up taking the caravan into a local caravan & camping place for them to help us with a couple of things
The door lock wouldnt shut properly, they found it was cracked and then glued. So that has now been replaced.
We had a minor leak in the roof, so they have reseated the roof for us. That is now fixed.
We wanted them to show us how to pull out the awning but the locking mechanism was broken and wouldnt lock. The tightening black screws on the awning roof bars had lost their little springs. They were replaced.
The plastic locking latches on the upright bars were brittle and broke, and the larger lift up lock on both sides did the same. These were all replaced.
And he showed us how to open and close the awning. He reckons it has never been used as the awning itself is in excellent condition.
Now the van is ready to go.
The Tarago needs its electric brakes now. That will be done within the next couple of weeks.
Then we are set to go out again
