Vacationer Caravan Owners Group

Hi all.. we are having our new van built by Vacationer Caravans in Victoria, which we collect in July. I was wondering if there are any other Vacationer owners out there that would like to start a Vacationer Forum, for tips, tricks and general information etc..

Ours is a Semi-Off road Rough Rider 22' 6" model, we cannot wait to pick it up, we will drive down from Qld, then tow it back, taking in a few locations on the way, spending about 6 days to get home, then continue to load it up with all the clothing, bedding, and goodies etc..

If there is anyone out there, with a Vacationer, we would love to hear from you..

Kevin & Elaine

Contact Colin Young at Caravan Council of Australia, he would be able to advise you of any groups and he would also be the one to contact for a pre delivery inspection even to arrange inspection during your build.

Hi Blaze.. probably not a bad idea mate, but unfortunately time is not on my side, and have to get back to Qld, due to work commitments.. But I do hear what you are saying, thanks for the advice..

Just back from a couple of weeks shakedown. A few things to replace, power point, door latch, and approval to replace awning as a couple of small abrasions through the 1st vinyl layer.

This noticed only when putting awning out for the 1st time. Excellent service from Heatherbrae in chasing up warranty replacement.

Suggest you take it over a weighbridge when loaded to ensure all ok, mine was no problem.100_3042.JPG

Excellent van, Vacationer Escape, 23C  to our design. Certainly draws attention.biggrin

Dick.

Hi Dick, and great news to hear the van was ok, apart from a few minor issues..  Did you stray far from the factory during the shake down .?  Is there a weighbridge close by the factory that you know of..?

Hi Guru, I contacted Colin and he replied straight away, the CCA do not have inspectors now that go out to inspect van being built, but he sent me some check sheets to tick of and what questions to ask.. Its a pity as living in Qld, I don't have to time to fly down each few weeks to do inspection.. So if you know anyone in Vic that does inspections, I would make contact with them..

Hi Dick..  you mentioned Heather Brea.. who is she..?  Does she work at vacationer in Campbellfield ?

I am dealing with Courtney, as Matt Simpson is always busy, so its hard to track him down.  What kind of handover did they give you, and how long was it..?

Nice looking van mate..

Kevin

We are only about 8ks from a weighbridge just over the Stockton bridge (Newcastle area)Heatherbrae about 15ks, depends where you live, should be one not too far away.

Ronnie at Heatherbrae, excellent service from day one. I did have some dealings with Courtney in other matters when building van but not local.

Can't remember name of bloke who did handover,  but you will not remember everything. Probably about an hour.

Dick.

Tried your email as listed, didn't go through. Do you include the 4 dots?

Dick.

Just tried your email again off the above.
