www.bp.com/en_au/australia/products-services/fuels/bp-ultimate-fuels/bp-ultimate-diesel.html . Pasted off BP site tonight. Whilst '"patented " there is no direct reference to any testing to prove the point of paying a significant premium for this product, nor any reference to their sites being squeaky clean to avoid any contaminates, which seems to be the biggest issue.
We saw a recently renovated site ( not BP)which appeared to have rainwater running level or over the fill points this year. (heavy for us, about 25mm in 20 minutes).

So, are you saying that BP Premium Diesel (and Caltex Vortex premium Diesel) over regular truck diesels is all BS?

I guess the proof is in the pudding.
We travel Adelaide to Canberra quite regularly, and in my 80 series found that using BP Ultimate Diesel improved my economy a significant amount. We went from 18 l/100 down to 16.5.
Now in the BT50 I have found a slight difference, down from 13.9 to 13.4.
All trips have been towing a Vista Crossover at an ATM of 1650 kg.
Yes I have taken into account various other factors. These figures are from travelling to Canberra each month for the last 2 years.
The most significant factor in my economy is wind. The last trip we manage calm days over and back and the economy dropped to 12.5 l/100
G'day Dicko, here in Albury Wodonga, the premium is from 8 to 14 cents per litre , so half a litre less in 100km doesnt cut it for me, in Hewy's post above.
