happy to be registered to fly a drone but of course it will be like anything else, only those who obey the law will be those impacted by it.
Not happy about them wanting to put their hand in my pocket for the privilege though.
Going to need a licence to fart soon.

& it will be a premium licence for outside of your own home!

Unfortunately a few idiots wreck it for the majority.

As is always the way.

One of these days, we'll stop catering to the lowest common denominator .

It's not just the idiots as you say but CASA and the Govt. can see the potential use by terrorists ( ISIS have been using drones for a while know, the Kurds have footage of them dropping grenades), so considering this the laws should be strict and more so then they are providing with licencing.

When has a licence stopped a car being used as a weapon!

Being an ex professional pilot, I must say that there must be something done to control the use of drones. We had sooo many picked up on our traffic collision avoidance system. I have had eagles, pelicans, seagulls and other birdlife hit our aircraft, but touch wood, not a drone. As usual it is the irresponsible operator who makes it hard for everyone. Not sure how a license and registration number will work unless the drone is fitted with a type of transponder or type of identification means.

I overlook an area where dogs are continuously walked. People have a licence to own a dog but it doesn't stop a dog fight about every second day. Some days there are some pretty violent outcomes. Probably will to similar with drones.

Don't give them any more ideas, we're already over taxed and licensed as it is.

" Ow wow " I won't be safe now until the government becomes more strict and makes every one get a licence so they can't drop Hand grenades on my head

The first objective of having a license is to ensure that more operators actually know the rules.

I fully support that.

A couple of weeks ago I was in a private suburban swimming pool with the family and grand kids. A drone came over and stayed above us for some minutes.

Very invasive.

We tracked down the operator. He had no idea of exactly where the drone was and had no idea of the rules.

Cheers,

Peter
