gel coat yellowing


Hi all need a bit of advice .. have a slight yellowing on the edges of my rv .. gelcoat surface that needs some work done with a good cutting compound ..the yellowing is very minor ... but I notice it !!!

 

Has anyone had the same issue ?  maguires cutting compound no 40 has been recommended has anyone used this ?       any tips appreciated thanks .

Have similar ? Tried fibreglass cutting and wax compound . Next we will two pac paint ?

Good quality gel coat should not yellow any more than good quality paint.
Just finished the first cut and polish of the OKA gel coat in 15 years and it looks new.

ps... it has been stored outside 24/7 for all but 2 years of that 15 years.

Yellowing of gel coat is usually within the coating so generally unable to polish out
