Yesterday I received a call from a robot purporting to be Mark Latham. It sounded just like him! Isn't Artificial Intelligence amazing?

What, AI used to portray someone as intelligent?    Please notice I have not said something political, only talking about how AI can be used for evil purposes.

I never listen for long enough to find out who it is supposed to be. I just hang up on any robo calls.

I screen my calls by letting any numbers that don't appear in my Contacts list go to Voicemail. No names in the Voicemail greeting either; just "leave a message and I will call back". Have not had a single Voicemail message from a Robo voice or in a foreign language since using Voicemail to stop the fools wasting my time.

I never answer calls on my mobile that don't appear in my contacts and don't show up the calling from number. The Tax scam appears to come from a legitimate number based in Canberra. I hung on just long enough to realise it was a scam and then hung up. The scammer actually asks you to ring back on the calling number to sort things out. It's actually the only scam I've got on my mobile. My wife got same a few weeks earlier.

Don't answer anything on my landline as I've ditched the physical phone but can view via my NBN modem who has called. My voice message says leave a message. No-one ever leaves a message.

Concidentally today on NSN news they have announced a POLITICALLY CORRECT GENDER NEUTRAL AI voice for announcements.

 Where oh where !!  are the Human Race headed?
