Tent pole adjusters

I bought a 2nd. hand camper trailer which uses those triangular screw adjusters. Some are useless as the threads are stripped. I bought replacements at BCF and they are a slightly different size and will not fit. The threaded bit is slightly larger and won't nestle in the expanded position for them to allow the inner pole to be inserted. At the caravan show at Mornington racecourse today I talked with the camper trailer mob to get spares and was told that they were no longer using those pole adjusters. They now use a plastic latch adjuster.

Does anyone know where I can get them, the camper trailer mod apparently do not provide spare parts.

can you post pictures of the problem as it should not be to hard to replace
you may need to replace both parts eg. triangle screw and also threaded female part

jegog, also look at www.campertrailers.org/ - this is a camper trailer forum. You may find something on their technical area.

I agree with Ubif that it should not be a drama to fix. An old slogan that we techs had in PMG days was "Our job was not to do or die, it was to modify"!

Dennis, I got some from what we used to call an "Army Disposals" style shop. Take your old ones with you to size them up.

Thanks for the replies.
The replacement parts cannot be used, I will visit www.campertrailers.org/ and seek help there.

When mine stuffed up I replaced them with those pushbutton types. You know the ones that pop out through a hole on the pole. Easy to do.

We use twist and lock, much easier. We twist to unlock. lift the pole to the desired height then twist to lock in. Wouldn't have anything else now.
